Built a visual, system-driven alternative to traditional classified automotive publications, combining editorial design, advertising layout, and high-volume print production.
Led art direction, design, and production for two large-format automotive publications developed from the ground up. As the first creative hire, partnered directly with the founder to establish Atlanta Cars Magazine as a free weekly publication built around strong visual presentation, structured layout systems, and reliable print production workflows.
Developed scalable page templates, standardized photography guidelines, advertising layouts, and production systems to support a fast weekly publishing cycle. Responsibilities included mechanical preparation, print-ready file setup, ad placement, vendor coordination, and final production oversight. The publication reached profitability quickly and was acquired within two years, leading to expansion into a second market with a new identity and localized editorial approach.
